The Boston Irish Wolfhounds Rugby Football Club, 2003 & 2004 US National Div 1 Champions,and more recently, 2006 Div I & III US National Championship runners up, would like to take this opportunity to welcome any player of any level, whether new to Boston or new to the game to come join our side.
When you come to the ‘hounds you will find a club with a passion for the game, a competitive spirit and great characters both on and off the field. For the Spring 2007 season we are fielding 3 sides most weekends so there is always plenty of playing time for everyone. Don’t worry if you’ve never played, there will be on opportunity for you to learn the game and to develop as a player. Above all else you will find a warm and sincere welcome when you play with the Irish.
The club is serious about rugby. Perennial challengers for success, the ‘hounds have an enviable record in the Northeast and we aim to improve even further. With a 1st class coaching set-up, excellent sponsors, the most magnificent facilities, an active social calendar, and a great sense of community the ‘hounds aim to be to the fore of American rugby for many years to come.
In 2005 some of our players went overseas to New Zealand for a playing season, to learn some Kiwi tricks to bring back and benefit all.
Our Old Boys team the ‘Dinosaurs’ is where our more senior and junior members play rugby. Comprising many years of Rugby playing experience this is a great way for newcomers to the game to play and get to know the members of the club. Whilst not as competitive as our first XV team it is Rugby to a high standard. the Boston Dinosaurs aka Durants Dinos
